Job Summary

Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing e-commerce business specializing in jewelry, with a strong presence on platforms such as Shopify, Etsy, and Amazon. We are seeking an experienced and talented Director of Operations to oversee our $5 million+ operations. The ideal candidate will have a background in fashion or jewelry e-commerce and a proven track record of success in leading operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the company's operations, including supply chain management, inventory control, fulfillment, and logistics. Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency and streamline processes to support business growth. Lead and mentor a team of operations managers and coordinators, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest level of performance. Collaborate closely with the executive team to develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with company goals and objectives. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and pricing. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to product quality, safety, and shipping regulations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, manufacturers, and third-party logistics partners. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in e-commerce operations to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. MBA preferred. At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role overseeing operations for an e-commerce company, with a proven track record of managing $5 million+ operations. Experience working with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Etsy, or Amazon is required. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve goals and objectives. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of fashion or jewelry e-commerce industry trends and best practices is highly desirable. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities. Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset and a results-oriented approach.
