We are seeking a Director of Marketing to assume a crucial role in fostering engagement and extending the museum's presence within the local community and beyond. Drawing on your wealth of experience in marketing and customer engagement, you will spearhead the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at amplifying attendance, bolstering membership, and elevating the overall visitor experience.
Director Of Marketing Responsibilities
- Marketing Campaigns: Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, search engines, social media, email, print, and experiential activations. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop compelling creative assets and messaging that resonate with target audiences.
- Brand Management: Maintain and enhance the museum's brand identity, positioning it as a leader in experiential art and cultural innovation. Ensure brand consistency across all touch points, including signage, collateral, advertising, and digital platforms.
- Audience Engagement: Develop strategies to deepen engagement with existing visitors and attract new audiences to the museum. Utilize data analytics and customer insights to personalize the visitor experience, drive repeat visits, and foster loyalty.
- Content Creation: Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling digital content including graphics, videos, and interactive experiences that resonate with the museum's target audience and align with its brand identity.
- SEO and SEM: Lead efforts to improve the museum's visibility in search engine results pages through search engine optimization (SEO) and manage pay-per-click (PPC) advertising campaigns to drive qualified traffic to the museum's website.
- Social Media Management: Manage and grow the museum's presence on social media platforms by developing content calendars, engaging with followers, and leveraging social advertising to increase reach and engagement.
- Email Marketing: Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to nurture leads, promote events and exhibitions, and drive ticket sales and memberships.
- Analytics and Reporting: Utilize web analytics tools to track and analyze digital marketing performance metrics, generate insights, and optimize campaigns for maximum effectiveness and ROI.
- Stay Current: Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in digital marketing, technology, and consumer behavior to inform strategy and drive innovation.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Director of Marketing, high volume of visitors in the arts, entertainment or attractions industry.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets in a dynamic and competitive environment.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, social media advertising, and email marketing.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making and a passion for innovation and creativity.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to achieve common goals.
