Cyber Security Analyst

Position Summary

Space is critical to our operations and everyday lives, and cyberspace is where it all connects. As a Cyberspace Effects Operations Officer, you’ll command crews in various areas of cybersecurity: combat communications, missile guidance systems, the nation’s power grid, rocket launches and more. You’ll also assess intelligence and advise commanders to make sure our teams are mission-ready no matter the situation.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Operate cyberspace weapons systems.
  • Review mission tasking and intelligence information.
  • Supervise mission planning, preparation, and crew briefing and debriefing.
  • Command crews for cyberspace and training missions.

  • Up to a $10,000 bonus with a three-year contract paid over three years (dependent on member meeting all eligibility requirements based on IAW Air Force policy and law)


Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electronics theory, information technology, telecommunications, and supervisory and control systems including cryptography, vulnerability assessment, and exploitation techniques
  • Completion of Undergraduate Cyberspace training and mission qualification training in specialty area
  • Completion of a current Single Scoped Background Investigation (SSBI)
  • Eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance
  • Completion of eight-week Officer Training School (OTS) at Maxwell AFB, AL
  • Must be between the ages of 17 and 42
