Summary

Provides administrative and analytical support to the Global Rewards Center of Excellence (COE) leadership team for the US Benefits Program.


Detailed Description


  • Manage the leave of absence process for all US employees. Work hand in hand with site
  • HR on employee education, follow up with employees and obtaining information regarding return to work, last day worked, claim filing, etc.
  • Prepare leave payments and submit to payroll for timely payments to employees.
  • Coordinate the Celestica leave benefits with state specific leave laws, leave policy and payments
  • Process biweekly HSA and monthly FSA funding, audits (as needed) and employee inquiries
  • Provide education and guidance to employees on all of Celestica’s benefit programs.
  • Conduct bi-weekly new hire benefit meetings and send new employees’ information on their benefit options and access to their benefits portal
  • Manage the monthly billing process by reviewing invoices, submitting payments and headcount to vendors and completing the allocation of benefits for all sites
  • Support the annual US Benefits Enrollment process. Prepare and deliver communications, plan changes and timelines to managers and employees
  • Resolve employee queries and resolves escalated Benefits issues internally or with

vendors. Operate as a subject matter expert and escalation point to resolve issues.

  • Manage relationship with various vendors which may include file feeds, employee inquiries and communication materials
  • Co-ordinate the administrative process for employee terminations, deaths and retirements
  • Additional projects on an as needed basis including Life Plan reimbursement processing, tuition reimbursement processing and responding to queries in the Servicenow platform


Knowledge/Skills/Competencies


  • Strong expertise and knowledge of the US Benefits landscape including: Benefit Plan design and offerings (ie. Medical, dental, insurance, etc), Pension Plans, Disability Management, etc.
  • Strong analytical, data modelling skills and experience. Ability to work with and synthesize large volumes of financial data with a very high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Able to present and communicate ideas and facts in a clear and articulate manner
  • Able to effectively work with a wide variety of customers, cross-functional collaborations, as well as leveraging external vendors/partners.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to empathize and respond to employee queries is a timely and effective manner.
  • Working knowledge of HR compensation and benefits programs, policies and practices.
  • Strong time management and organization skills. Able to evaluate, manage and prioritize multiple highly complex and detailed tasks and projects at any given time.
  • Able to manage sensitive employee information in a confidential manner.
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in the following applications: Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.


Typical Experience


  • Two to Four years relevant benefits and/or HR experience


Typical Education


  • Bachelor's degree preferred. Will consider Associate's degree or High School diploma with relevant work experience
  • HR or Benefits certifications are a plus but not required.

Hourly Range: $26.44 to $36.06 based on prior experience and knowledge

Location: This is a remote position, with travel as necessary. We are open to considering candidates close to any of our US locations in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, Oregon or California as well as locations near major airports such as the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and Pacific Coast.
