Controller - Private Equity - $140k - $160k + 15%

Job Description

Alari Search has partnered up with a very reputable Private Equity company located in Cincinnati. This is a dynamic and rapidly growing P/E company with room for growth, great work life balance and wonderful benefits.

The Corporate Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including managing month-end close processes, management reporting, and ensuring compliance with banking and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate accounting, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of annual audits and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage bank reporting and financial covenants, ensuring accurate and timely submission of required documents to maintain strong lender relationships and compliance.
• Tax reporting and compliance
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company standards.
• Ensure and oversee an effective internal control environment to safeguard the assets of the company.
• Review and manage the reconciliation process using Blackline, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all reconciliations.
• Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to senior management to support decision-making and drive business growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis, budgeting, treasury and forecasting processes.
• Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations and ensure compliance with relevant accounting pronouncements.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline financial operations and enhance efficiency.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• Experience in Financial Services, Investment Banking or Private equity highly preferred
• 6-10+ years of progressive experience in public accounting, corporate accounting and financial management roles, preferably in a private equity-owned environment.
• Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems preferred.
• Experience managing outsourced providers.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience managing multinational businesses and working with foreign currencies.
• Understanding of SaaS business models and revenue recognition.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices.
