Job Brief

The Financial Controller/CAO is a crucial member of our senior management team, reporting to The Chief Financial Officer. This role requires an engaged and collaborative leader with a balance of strategy, analytical skills, and a proven track record in financial management.

The Impact You'll Make

  • Oversee all activities of the controllership function including general ledger, month-end close process and consolidation, accounts payable, procurement, and treasury.
  • Establish and maintain corporate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with US GAAP and other laws/regulations.
  • Build and maintain the internal control environment (processes, policies, and standard operating procedures) and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Oversee and direct the preparation of reports that summarize business results (revenue, expense, and earnings) and financial position (balance sheet and cash flow).
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Manage the international entities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting from all operations.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for treasury function, accounts receivable, billings and collections.
  • Closely monitor working capital position and future requirements
  • Ensure cost and expense control procedures are in place; analyze cash flow and expenses to guide the executive team.
  • Build the overall capability and champion a culture of continuous improvement. Set priorities and goals for the department.
  • Develop and lead internal and external accounting resources.
  • Manage external auditors and ensure completeness of all documentation required for annual financial and statutory audits.
  • Interface with Francisco Partners. Work with the CFO, VP FP&A, and other members of senior leadership and the executive team to prepare board and investor materials.
  • Support the CFO and executive team on key financial and technical accounting decisions.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks

What You've Accomplished

  • 10+ years’ experience in Accounting, 3-5+ years’ experience as a Controller/CAO
  • Flexibility and adaptability to setting up a new NetSuite environment to full production operations.
  • Robust knowledge of financial management and strategy development.
  • Experience working in digital media companies is preferred
  • Proficiency with NetSuite is preferred
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required
