Responsibilities

Kforce's client, a Food and Beverage company headquartered in Cambridge, MA is seeking to hire a Controller to join their firm. This company offers a great compensation package, Health, and a 401(k). Summary: As Controller, you will direct all accounting and finance functions for the company, including timely monthly, quarterly, and annual statements and accompanying analysis. You will work directly with the CEO and team to drive operational financial performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Controller leads all accounting activities; Provides direction to team regarding the financial management of the business, including preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual board reporting
• Oversees communication, implementation, and administration of accounting policies and procedures essential to the maintenance of adequate internal control of operations; Directs all AP/AR, and Banking and Cash Management activities including payroll
• As a Controller, you will oversee accuracy of inventories of materials and finished goods both in the company's books and at co-manufacturers
• Supports CEO on review of new contracts
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• Highly proficient in SAGE 100 and QuickBooks
• Previous experience as a Controller/Finance Director, preferably in manufacturing and/or with food industry experience; Understanding or familiarity with bills of materials and product costing models are critical
• Broad business experience on both the revenue and cost side; Deep understanding of Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash Flow
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to self-direct activities and work schedules and manage and guide small AR/AP team
• Excellent written and communication skills
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Salary: $120,000 - $120,000 per year
