BH Programs Manager

The Behavioral Health Programs Manager focuses on providing timely access to mental health services through outreach initiatives within the community, with the goal of enhancing the well-being of Native Americans at risk of and/or experiencing mental illness. They work diligently to supervise staff that are responsible for connecting individuals with appropriate resources, reducing barriers, and promoting early intervention. The Behavioral Health Programs Manager trains the staff in raising awareness, and destigmatizing mental health issues by fostering a supportive and safe environment. The Behavioral Health Programs Manager will connect and collaborate with service providers to implement evidence-based care strategies and coordinate pathways to help improve the outcomes and quality of life for those facing significant mental health challenges as suicide prevention is a critical component of the role. By promoting mental health awareness and resilience, they actively work towards reducing suicide rates within Native American communities.

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4-years’ experience in grant implementation and management.
  • Must have 3 to 5 years’ experience supervising a team of six or more.
  • Understand principles, practices and techniques of program planning, development, evaluation, procedures of budget preparation and monitoring, including budgets involving grants, contracted services, and state and federal funding.
  • Ability to work on various computer programs such as word processing, and graphics software.
  • Must maintain a valid unrestricted driver’s license. This position requires some travel throughout Northern Sonoma County.
  • Act as a liaison and resource to state departments, tribal organizations, county departments, state, or other funding sources.
  • Must satisfactorily pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background investigation.
  • Must provide proof of completed COVID vaccines & booster.
