Summary
We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst who will report to the Director of Finance.
YOUR OPPORTUNITY
The Financial Analyst will serve as a key member of the corporate Finance team. This role will report to our Director of Finance and will be responsible for analyzing business needs, implementing processes and increase process efficiency through the following duties.
Job Description
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
Support Balenciaga Americas business including but not limited to: USA, Canada, Mexico & Brazil in collaborating to various analyses as needed
Support monthly closings, GL reconciliation, and complete analysis on P&L and balance sheet accounts, including but not limited to:
Month end Sales Margin preparation
Analyzing construction under progress and capitalization
Complete various analyses, “Fixed Assets” and “Rents”
Assist with review of OPEX and monthly accruals (including Concur expenses)
Review of store rent (fixed and variable) monthly
Review of payroll accruals
Review of Tenant Allowances
Review of Journal Entries
Ad hoc reporting
Identify areas of improvement and generate innovative ideas to increase process efficiencies
Be an ambassador of corporate policies, including but not limited to T&E, the use of corporate cards (send reminders based on the corporate cards delinquent report)
Assist with preparation of internal and external audits
Navigate and master multiple accounting systems and sub-ledgers including but not limited to SAP, Movex, & HFM
Support in compilation of reporting packages
WHO YOU ARE
Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics or Accounting
3 - 5 years in similar role; Retail experience a plus
Technical skills (Excel, Powerpoint)
Core Competencies and traits:
Possess a high level or accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and counterparts over seas
Highest regard for confidentiality. Must be able to maintain confidentially with sensitive company information
Positive work attitude including willing to work some longer hours during peak periods
Advanced technical skills (Excel, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, PowerPoint)
System savvy and self-motivated to learn new technology and participate in new projects. HFM and SAP experience a plus
Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures
Position based in Wayne - NJ Office, willingness to travel to New York office as needed
