We are seeking a Process Supervisor candidate to join our Process Management Team working in the active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) Manufacturing Pilot Plant. The Pilot Plant is located in Sandwich England and is part of Asymchem’s team responsible for the development of process technology for the production of clinical API.

The principal role is to supervise the transfer of processes from the laboratories located in Sandwich into the Pilot Plant, with the view to manufacture API for development, toxicity safety studies and clinical trials. As projects progress through their lifecycle, focus will include the need to develop a commercialisable manufacturing processes for transfer to Asymchem’s manufacturing facilities


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Scale up of processes from laboratory through to Pilot Plant and commercial manufacturing in a safe and GMP compliant fashion.
  2. Provide input into the development of safe, sustainable and appropriately robust chemical processes, including a practical contribution to process development and robustness evaluation.
  3. Provide feedback on processes and give suggestions for potential areas for improvement and further development to ultimately produce a commercialisable process.
  4. Proactive member of the API production team including technical and practical support for design of commercial route and processes.
  5. Have a proactive interest and involvement in, and where appropriate lead, the implementation of new or under utilized manufacturing technologies and techniques which could be used to improve the efficiency and versatility of the facilities in the production of API.
  6. Involvement in appropriate support activities in the API manufacturing facilities including but not limited to continuous improvement, environmental compliance, safety, training, scheduling, planning and GMP compliance.


Education:

  1. Minimum BS in relevant scientific discipline (Chemistry or Chemical Engineering).
  2. Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and EH&S practices is highly desired.
  3. Prior experience in an API manufacturing environment is highly desired.
