Anchor/Reporter
WJXT-TV in beautiful Jacksonville, Florida, is looking for an Anchor/Reporter to help lead a strong newsroom in a fast-paced, competitive environment. Along with anchoring duties, you will be responsible for general assignment, I-TEAM and Solutionaries reporting. Journalists at WJXT-TV work closely with the digital team to provide content on our website, streaming channel, and social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have excellent news judgment, storytelling, and research skills to engage with audiences across different platforms. We need a journalist who understands the importance of integrity, teamwork, innovation, and passion.
Experience
Requirements
We prefer a candidate with at least three years of experience as a reporter in a TV newsroom. Must agree to a flexible schedule that includes shift changes, weekends, and holidays as needed. A degree in communications or a related field is desired.

- Participate in editorial meetings, contributing ideas for all platforms
- Need someone who is a critical thinker, problem solver, and can work independently
- Ability to execute demonstrative live shots and standups in story presentation
- Understand the creative use of graphics
- Must have excellent communication skills and understand the importance of collaborating with management and staff
