Amusement Park Porter
Summary : The Porter ensures the cleanliness of all areas of carousel Gardens and Storyland, including the grounds, walkways, rides, and facilities such as the bathrooms and offices.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee will frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Frequent use of gas/ electrical powered equipment ( i.e. leaf blowers, pressure washers, etc.) is required . Speci fic vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Working weekends, some evenings, and holidays is mandatory. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, chemicals such as cleaning liquids, outside weather conditions, and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to extreme cold, vibration, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually the norm for an outdoor environment, with occasional elevated levels of sound during special events .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned
- Cleans all bathroom facilities.
- Constantly walks grounds, picking up trash and cleaning spills
- Ensures rides and ride areas are free of trash and debris.
- Gets the park ready for opening before each day, recovering it after the park has closed.
- Mops, sweeps, and moves tables and chairs between birthday party areas.
- Wipes down benches, tables, and trash cans as needed
- Empties trash cans, hauls trash to dumpster facilities, and replaces liners in trash cans.
- Communicates with supervisory staff regarding any potential hazardous safety conditions.
- Provides exceptional guest service, answers any guest questions and assists p ark guests when needed.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
