KDC is seeking a patient, loving and empathetic individual to care for individuals in DDS custody.
Become a Shared Living Caregiver today! Are you interested in helping an individual(s) with developmental disabilities thrive in their day to day? KDC is seeking a contracted caregiver(s) to reside in a KDC owned home full time and care for up to three female individuals with developmental disabilities. This role receives a tax-free stipend, housing, and positively impacting the lives of individuals!
Through thoughtful matching, customized supports, and dedicated caregivers, the individual(s) we serve can experience success every day. Matches are made by understanding compatible interests, religious beliefs, lifestyle compatibilities, and other factors.
***Caregivers are provided with education and training, 24/7 on call support, Shared living case management, nursing and clinical oversight, room and board, and a tax-free stipend. Daily stipends are based on the individual supported care needs.***
Responsibilities:
Support the individuals' full life and to be as independent as possible while living in the KDC home
Support medical, nutritional, and behavioral health needs
Community transportation as needed for activities such as day program and/or work, appointments, visits with family and friends
Caregiver will participant in monthly home visits with Shared living case manager and support team meetings
Qualifications:
Clean Criminal Record Check through DPPC/DDS
High School Diploma or GED
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
At least 18 years of age
Must demonstrate a willingness to care for a person with a disability.
KDC welcomes people with varying types of experience in supporting people with disabilities. Caregiver experience is not required prior to working with us. We will train you and ensure that you receive all necessary certifications and ongoing supports
