Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit in the social justice space is seeking a dedicated career Administrative Assistant to join their team in Washington, DC. Salary/Hourly Rate
$65,000 – $75,000
Position Overview
The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to ~4 individuals. The right Administrative Assistant will be an expert in managing changing priorities and various individuals. This position will also require the candidate to have strong writing and editing skills to help with communication for board members and grant leaders. The hours are 9 to 5 and it is a true work/life balance position.
Responsibilities Of The Administrative Assistant
Tasks such as scheduling meetings (virtual and in person), domestic and international travel arrangements, and calendar management for the leaders of the Program groups
Help prepare group leads for conferences, webinars, fundraising and donor conversations, and events
Help process expense reports for the department
Assist with tracking budget spreadsheets and vendor contracts
Qualifications For The Administrative Assistant
Must be currently living in the general Washington, DC area with ability to work onsite at the office 3 days/week
4+ years of professional experience as an Administrative Assistant supporting a team
Desire to remain an Administrative Assistant, gatekeeper, and right-hand professionally (and not to take on a different role or growth path within the business)
Direct experience with writing and editing correspondence on an executives behalf
Ability to multitask and flexibility to shifting priorities
Demonstrated experience working collaboratively as part of a team
Genuine passion and interest in the nonprofit space
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree is preferred but is not required
