Zone Support Manager

The Zone Support Manager leads a team dedicated to supporting the Field Sales Zones. This team is an extension of the field sales team located in the home office created to influence and negotiate on their behalf to create win-win situations. The team understands the day-to-day pressures experienced by the field sales team and are highly knowledgeable, trustworthy, and a critical part of the team.

Leading through the JM Family Way, the ideal candidate will impact the development and growth of our associates through empowerment, coaching and inspiring success. This person will be a cultural fit, strategic, proactive, and always have a sense of urgency and a high level of accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Support and guide the team when escalations are needed to navigate process and balance urgency.
  • Collaborate across JM&A to influence, create, and implement strategies that successfully elevate working relationships between Sales associates and the Operational teams.
  • Remove obstacles to make the support processes more effective where possible.
  • Create and maintain support strategies with other zone dedicated support teams such as Field Claims Managers and Zone Associate Development Leads.
  • Create and maintain a relationship with Zone VPs to support the zone and the effectiveness of the teams.
  • Evaluate and advocate for the Field Sales team’s experience(s) when interacting with the home office.
  • Ensure consistency of processes and procedures being followed across zones.
  • Develop and support associate goals for elevating performance, measure and provide consistent feedback in the development process.
  • Monitor requests and identify areas of opportunity to create efficiencies and streamline processes.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience managing either an operations team or team that supports field sales required
  • Background in Financial Services, Insurance, or Corporate automotive experience preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively across levels within the organization with a proven track record of influencing all levels of internal clients/customer needs
  • Process oriented, understanding and advocating for the field sales team while balancing the experience of internal teams.
  • Must possess strong analytical, critical thinking skills and as well as presentation skills
  • Technology savvy and demonstrates an ability to quickly learn various systems
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • In office presence as business needs dictate, a minimum of 4 days in the office
  • Travel required quarterly into the field sales zones
  • Bachelor's degree required
