Wire Transfer Specialist

About the job:

Do you have keen attention to detail, a dubious mindset, and a sense of urgency when performing crucial tasks? Near North is looking for a Wire Transfer Specialist to support the Wire Transfer Department with key operational duties and take direction from the Wire Transfer Manager, while working at a top production level. We provide a collaborative, energetic, team environment. Our company is a growing title insurance operation with multi-state market presence and national outreach.

As the Wire Transfer Specialist role, you will manage wire and funds transfers from start to finish for processing, while ensuring all transfers occur privately and in a professional manner. You will verify wiring instructions via phone, do research to determine client contact information, study outgoing wire requests to confirm compliance, manage wire templates and requests from the escrow team, and much more.

What you bring to the table:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Banking industry experience a plus
• Experience in wire transfer, audit or bank operations helpful
• Detail oriented
• Skeptical mindset
• Sense of urgency
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment under pressure of high monetary/high risk transactions
  
  
  

You’ll be working on:

• Verifying wiring instructions over the phone
• Researching contact information for clients
• Analyze outgoing wire requests to determine if in compliance with policies and procedures
• Managing requests from our escrow team to verify wiring instructions
• Organizing and maintaining an Approved Wire List
• Reviewing historical data to identify repetitive payees
• Helping manage wire templates in our different banking portals
• Saving call recordings and verified instructions to our operating system
