What you'll be doing
- Lead a team of 40+ leasing professionals, supporting a large and complex multifamily portfolio of 15,000+ units in New York City.
- Be a visionary and develop clear leasing strategy for each asset, with in-depth understanding of the unique complexities, needs and market position.
- Be responsible for the comprehensive leasing process from lead to lease, with a focus on building the best-in-class customer service. Be an active driver of shaping the brands.
- Create tactical plans, establish measurable goals and objectives. Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to optimize the revenue driving KPIs (rate growth, occupancy, inventory, mix). Take ownership of customer service KPIs (call answer rate, customer satisfaction, etc.)
- Continuously evaluate market, demographic and economic data to determine trends and opportunities. Have a strong, constant pulse on the competitive peer set for each asset.
- Be willing to relentlessly look for improvements and opportunities in industry standards and established processes, with a goal and discipline to create the best in class leasing engine.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of leasing tracking data. Play key role in data management and data governance to ensure quality leasing KPIs are available across the organization.
- Be directly responsible for accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all leasing documentation. Work closely with the Legal department to ensure full compliance with all rules and regulations.
- Work closely with the Marketing team on all marketing initiatives, branding and repositioning of the individual assets. Assist the organization and ownership with assessment, due diligence and transition of new acquisitions.
- Focus on establishing relationships with outside partners committed to improving our brands, operations, industry standards and practices.
Skills we're seeking
- 10+ years of experience in leasing
- 4+ years of experience in management roles related to leasing
- 2+ years of experience in leadership roles related to leasing
- Strong understanding of NYC industry and market trends and multifamily fundamentals
- Experience driving strategy to optimize leasing for each unique property
