Vice President of Finance

We are looking for a Vice President of Finance to provide executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization’s financial operations. The Vice President of Finance is responsible for ensuring professional and ethical financial practices and a cohesive finance service offering across Departments that is aligned with business strategy, so as to ensure the functionality and sustained profitability of the Company. The ideal candidate will have experience in Hospitality and a thorough understanding of and personal involvement with systems and methodologies of finance.

• In collaboration with other executive staff, and skilled and trusted departmental Leaders, develops, implements, operates, maintains, and controls the essential operating systems, information, and financial business of the company.
• Defines and implements key performance indicators and strategic objectives for the division and, as appropriate, the entire organization; facilitates measurement of those objectives, reporting results to the executive team.
• Maintains knowledge of developments and trends in finance and administration including technological advances.
• Ensure credibility of Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
• Manage and minimize the company’s financial risk exposure by developing and maintaining systems of internal controls, and ensuring that the Internal Audit and Risk Management functions are operating effectively
• Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action
• Oversee Purchasing, Warehouse & Receiving, and IT Departments as well.

Candidate Requirements

• Must have previous Senior Leadership Finance experience in Hospitality industry
• Thorough knowledge of financial and legal best practices and requirements with a proven ability to provide sound and ethical financial counsel to executive leadership.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to provide vision and leadership
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  
  
  

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, experience in Hospitality industry required.
• Experience in a union environment highly desirable.
  
  
  

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is based on-site at our Fontainebleau Miami Beach and requires physical presence during regular working hours.
