How can you add value as a VP of Events Marketing? From defining the processes, deliverables and tactics that our events teams employ to generate tens of thousands of leads a quarter, to creating organizational infrastructure to hire, onboard and organize multiple teams tasked with global industry events, who’s headcount has nearly doubled every year, you will create or uplevel the ways that Datadog goes about finding new prospective customers as well as upselling existing customers on new products at our flagship show Dash and Summits around the world.

As the VP heading our Events teams, you’ll be responsible for rapidly scaling a division of marketers that will shape in-person and virtual go-to-market events supporting our products for different market segments, internationally and in regulated industries.

  • Scale, train, standardize best practices, and if needed, assist in creating new teams to captain regionalized trade shows
  • Oversee a constant experimentation and optimization process for promotions, trade show operations and other outreach efforts to increase engagement from sponsored events attendees
  • Enhance our post-events follow-up processes to turn events participants into customers
  • Provide strategic direction to DASH, Datadog’s yearly trade show, as well as smaller regional customer summits around the world

  • Work with the Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Marketing Operations, Sales, Customer Success, Growth Strategy and other related teams to optimize workflows that cross organizational lines
  • Set the tone, expectations, level of execution and mindset for an Events division at a hyper-growth company
