Create a Talent Pool Report

You can create a Talent Pool Report in LinkedIn Talent Insights to better understand the demographics of a talent pool and workforce trends over time. Once your report generates, you can navigate through the nine tabs at the top of the report to view insights on this talent pool.

Talent Pool Reports in LinkedIn Talent Insights allow you to understand the demographics of a talent pool and how it’s changing over time.
Talent pools are defined by filtering the professionals on LinkedIn by their title, skill set, industry, and location.
Talent Pool Reports are updated daily, providing you a real-time, global view on the rapidly changing talent market and competitive landscape. The information from these reports can be used to answer the following types of questions:
  • What skills are in demand in your industry and the broader market?
  • What locations are hidden gems of the talent and skills you will need to source?
  • What companies are your best targets for finding the type of talent you need now and in the future?
  • What schools are producing the type of talent and skills that you will need to hire in the future?
  • How is talent engaging with your brand today? Are you engaging with the right talent now to ensure a healthy pipeline in the future?

To generate a Talent Pool Report:
  1. Click Create a Talent Pool Report on the Talent Insights homepage.

  2. Enter the job titles in the Job Title field. You can also select from the pre-populated suggested job titles in the dropdown.

  3. Add or exclude Location, Skill, Company, Industry, Function, or other Advanced Filters on the left rail to further refine your report.

  4. Click Apply.

Once your report generates, you can navigate through the tabs at the top of the report to view insights on this talent pool.

Important to know

The talent pool counts may not be exactly the same in Talent Insights and Recruiter. In order to provide search results as quickly as possible, Recruiter shows approximate counts for search results containing 1,000 or more results. In some cases, Recruiter may return a broader set of profiles so that you have the best chance at finding the right candidate.
