Tips for using search and projects in Recruiter

Last updated: 6 days ago

Searching on LinkedIn Recruiter allows you to search for the right candidates based on your specific requirements.

Check out some of these key points to keep in mind while searching in Recruiter:

  • You can manage your search on Recruiter by clicking Saved searches on the left rail or clicking the  More icon on the filter pane on the left and selecting from one of the following options:

    • View saved searches
    • Save as new search
    • View search history
    • Clear search
  • Once you save a specific candidate to a project, Recruiter automatically redirects you to your project. Your search results are displayed in the Talent pool tab.

  • While saving a candidate profile to your project pipeline, Recruiter defaults the status of the profile to the first status that’s been set by your admin.

  • On the Talent pool tab, you can save, hide, or unhide candidates. You can hide up to 10,000 profiles per project. Hiding a profile will ensure that the hidden candidate won't appear in any subsequent searches for the current project. It doesn’t eliminate that candidate from appearing in searches for another project. Hidden candidates are only hidden from you and appear for other project collaborators. Click Hidden from results to view all hidden candidates and unhide, if needed.

  • You can view additional insights such as Connections, Views, Company follower, Open to work, and more at the bottom of each candidate’s profile card.

  • You can reassign the project ownership and share your project with multiple people from the Project settings tab.

  • Easily start a new search for another project by clicking the global search bar at the top of the page.

  • Add a candidate to another project by clicking the More icon on the right side of the candidate’s profile card in the Pipeline tab and clicking Save to another project.
