Ready to post a job now?

You can post your job on LinkedIn and get matched with qualified candidates.

Post a job now

You can create online job posts on LinkedIn to advertise open positions at your company. Make sure to review the best practices for posting jobs on LinkedIn before getting started. When you post a job, we’ll notify your coworkers and close connections in your 1st-degree network so they can also share the job with their own networks.

Important to know

Once the free trial for your promoted job ends, you must close the job if you do not wish to promote it. If the job remains promoted, you will incur a charge per the daily or total budget. If you have an active free job, you will only see the option to promote the job as you can only post one free job at a time. Your job post will remain active until you manually close it, or it will automatically close after 6 months.

To post a job on LinkedIn:
  1. Click the Jobs icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
  2. Click the Post a job button.
    • If you're a Recruiter customer, you may be routed to a page with different contract options you're affiliated with. If so, click Continue next to (Your Name)'s LinkedIn Job Posting.
  3. On the Job Details page, complete the following fields:
    • Description: Enter a job description (required) in the text box.
    • Add skills: Add required skills to the job post by typing them into the text box and selecting from the options that automatically generate.

    Important to know

If no skills are added to the job post, LinkedIn will generate inferred skills based on the job title. To remove the inferred skills, add your preferred skills to the job post.

  4. Click Continue.
  5. On the Applicant Options page, complete the following fields:
    • How would you like to receive applicants?: Select how you’ll be notified of applicants.
    • Review screening questions: LinkedIn does not prevent unqualified applicants from applying. We recommend adding screening questions for this purpose. We recommend adding at least three screening questions to help you easily identify top applicants who meet your required or preferred qualifications.
  6. After you click the Promote job button, add your credit card details on the checkout page.
    • If you already have a payment method on file, your default payment method will appear. Click Add payment if you'd like to add a new payment method for this purchase.
  7. Review the order details before posting your job. You can see your daily budget, total budget, and other details.
  8. Click Post job.

Who can use this feature?

If you’ve purchased job slots through a corporate contract, you'll post jobs via Recruiter or Talent Hub and not from the jobs page, your profile, or home feed.
