Delete a LinkedIn Group

LinkedIn Groups can only be deleted by the owners and not by group managers or members. Members and managers can reach out to the group owners (listed under Admins on the right pane of the group homepage) and request to delete a group.

Important to know

This action can only be performed on desktop. Deleting a group is a permanent action. Groups can't be reopened after they've been deleted. If you’re trying to delete a group that you don’t own, read about LinkedIn’s Trademark Policy.

To delete a group:
  1. Navigate to your Groups homepage.

  2. Select the applicable group from the list under Your groups that you want to delete.

  3. Click the Edit icon to the right of the group logo.

  4. In the Edit group pop-up window that appears, click Delete this group in the lower left.

  5. Click Delete group to confirm your action.
