New data from our survey shows 38% of U.S. shoppers are feeling more financially stressed than last year. Yet they're not letting that stop their holiday plans. I'm feeling incredibly grateful today! Cash App, the Atlanta Dream and ForgiveCo eliminated $10 million in debt for 3,500 Atlanta families. Our initiative represents everything I believe business partnerships should be: using our platforms and resources to strengthen the communities we serve. Growing up, my mom was a working parent, always on the road supporting our family. But she'd drop everything when I needed her. She taught me that success means nothing if you're not lifting others as you climb. It's a lesson that’s shaped my career at Square, Cash App, and Block. That real connections matter more than any transaction. Here’s the impact of this partnership - Cash App and our partners connected with over 3,500 Atlantans, removing the weight that's been holding them back. For many, debt relief like this is a life-changing path to financial freedom. So many doors get opened: starting a business, pursuing higher education, or just getting a fresh start without having constant money worries. When Morgan Shaw Parker and the Dream leadership first discussed the plan with us, their energy was amazing - immediately pushing us to expand our thinking and impact. ForgiveCo brought incredible expertise, pinpointing families in Atlanta's communities facing the greatest financial challenges. After the announcement went live, my colleagues at Cash App & Block went directly to Adamsville for a youth basketball clinic with the Dream Team (literally!) and their Front Office to share this news. Cash App is partnering with the Atlanta Dream WNBA and ForgiveCo to eliminate $10 MILLION in debt for more than 3,500 people in Atlanta. Today, families across Atlanta will see debts ranging from $500 to $80,000 completely forgiven. ForgiveCo identified recipients based on demonstrated need, focusing on Atlanta's most financially burdened communities. "Sport is a catalyst for social change," says Morgan Shaw Parker, President & COO of the Atlanta Dream. "We're proving that sports teams can be powerful agents for transformation, rooted in purpose and driven by community." Cash App's Global Head of Brand Partnerships, Zack Ashley, adds: "Financial freedom should be accessible to everyone. Together, we're helping Atlanta families build the foundation they need to thrive." The partnership launches with a girls' basketball clinic this afternoon at C.T. Martin Natatorium in Southwest Atlanta's Adamsville neighborhood – one of the communities directly supported by the debt relief effort. Dream players will be running basketball skill stations with youth athletes while team members from Cash App, the Atlanta Dream front office, and staff from the King Center share more details about the news.
