APLNG’s first LNG cargo shipped in January 2016. Just over eight years later, in April of this year, APLNG's 1,000th LNG cargo shipped. Today, APLNG, a joint venture between ConocoPhillips, Origin Energy and Sinopec, is the largest gas producer, domestic gas supplier and LNG exporter on the east coast of Australia. Over the course of a seven-day expedition, the ConocoPhillips China Heart for Heart CHD Screening team, including three employee volunteers, conducted screenings for 226 children in the cities of Dingxi, Tianshui, and Longnan. Of the screened children, 26, including these twin brothers, were deemed eligible for surgical procedures, which are scheduled to take place in Tianjin this May. Aurora, a first-time volunteer, summarized the program’s impact: "While assisting parents in completing the application form, they repeatedly inquired whether the surgery was genuinely free. Their relief was palpable when I assured them that all expenses for children would be covered by the program budget. It was in that moment that I realized I was making a tangible difference by helping others.”
