In my experience comfort zone is the biggest killer of growth people tend to stay at similar roles for years just doing repetitive tasks and not gaining enough exposure or skills to grow. In my opinion one should take small and calculated risks whenever an opportunity arises, there is no such thing as bad outcome it always a learning from the experience.
