One of the main sources of stress in training is trying to achieve too much in too little time. You may feel overwhelmed by the amount of information, tasks, and deadlines you have to deal with. To avoid burnout, you need to set realistic and attainable goals for yourself and your team. Break down large projects into smaller steps, prioritize the most important and urgent ones, and delegate or outsource what you can. Also, be flexible and adaptable to changes and feedback, and celebrate your progress and achievements.

In a high-stress training environment, prioritize self-care by setting clear boundaries. Establish designated work hours and stick to them. Allocate time for breaks and relaxation. Delegate tasks when possible and communicate openly about workload. Incorporate stress-reduction techniques like mindfulness or exercise into your routine. Foster a supportive work culture that encourages breaks and understands the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Regularly assess and adjust your schedule to ensure overall well-being amidst the demanding training environment.

Priorities, priorities, priorities... We all have a limited availability of time and "attention units." (That measure of what and how much we focus on various aspects of our life.) A very successful (not just rich) mentor of me pointed me towards Stephen R. Covey's "7-Habits of Highly Successful People" years ago and it remains a cornerstone of my life. In a nutshell? We all have roles in life...businessperson is likely one of them, but there are others. Covey helps us identify our roles, realize their importance and then helps us ensure we're actually LIVING in accordance to our own priorities. Heady stuff...but simple as can be. Read this first...then consider the question.

Maintain in mind that striking a work-life balance is a continuous process that calls for deliberate effort and frequent modifications. It's critical to put your health first and understand that leading a balanced life improves performance in both your personal and professional spheres.
Another key factor in maintaining work-life balance is managing your time effectively. You need to plan your schedule in advance, allocate enough time for each activity, and stick to your deadlines. You also need to balance your work and personal commitments, and avoid distractions and interruptions. To do this, you can use tools like calendars, timers, and apps to organize your tasks, set reminders, and track your progress. You can also communicate your availability and expectations to your colleagues, trainers, and family, and respect their boundaries as well.

At the end of the day time is one of the actual resources we really have. We constantly exchange time for everything. For that reason be flexible and proactive with your time and others.
Training can be physically and mentally demanding, so you need to take care of yourself to stay healthy and motivated. You need to get enough sleep, eat well, exercise regularly, and drink plenty of water. You also need to relax and recharge your energy, by doing things that make you happy and calm. You can practice mindfulness, meditation, yoga, or breathing exercises, listen to music, read a book, or watch a movie. You can also seek support from your friends, family, or professionals if you feel stressed, anxious, or depressed.

Fuel yourself before you attempt to fuel others. As a coach, you are helping others because of the skills and talent you possess. If you are unable to meet your own basic needs, it will show. Your credibility decreases when your well-being is not maintained. You can expect others to take advice from you, if you're not taking care of yourself. Practice the art of self care so you can share it in your coaching as real life examples.

Self-care is the most important thing especially if you're working at a high stress environment. Balancing your diet as well as your physical and mental health is crucial. Having hobbies such as singing, dancing and swimming etc. is also necessary for expressing negative emotions. Getting emotional support from your social network or professionals is also essential when necessary.

Training can be a great opportunity to learn from others who have more experience, knowledge, or skills than you. You can benefit from their insights, feedback, and advice, and improve your performance and confidence. You can also network with other trainees, peers, or mentors, and build relationships that can help you in your career and personal growth. You can learn from others by asking questions, listening actively, giving and receiving feedback, collaborating on projects, and joining online or offline communities.

"My Greatest Dreams Lie Just Outside My Comfort Zone" Interesting term: "Comfort Zone." For many, there's nothing comfortable about their comfort zone...for many, quite the contrary. What most mean by this term is "what I'm accustomed to...what is familiar." This can encompass a lot of discomfort. For me...I've learned to embrace confusion (for it leads to innovation if perseverance is practiced) and the answer to most of my issues resides in seeking outside wisdom. For myself? I like to have mentors in (no particular order): Spirituality (it's a wide net, don't let preconceptions deter you Mental Health (therapist, counselor, etc.) Finances Marketing Business Growth "A Closed Mouth Does Not Get Fed." The day one stops learning is the day one dies. There is always someone better, stronger, smarter, more efficient, etc... The point is there is always something out there for everyone.
Training can be fun and enjoyable, if you approach it with a positive and curious attitude. You can make the most of your training experience by finding ways to make it engaging, interactive, and creative. You can use games, quizzes, puzzles, or stories to spice up your learning or teaching process. You can also reward yourself and your team for your efforts and achievements, by giving compliments, tokens, or prizes. You can also have fun by sharing your experiences, challenges, and successes with others, and laughing at your mistakes.

You can maintain work-life balance by setting realistic goals, managing your time, taking care of yourself, learning from others, and having fun. By doing so, you can enhance your skills, knowledge, and well-being, and achieve your personal and professional goals.

In my experience, I have found that (work-life) balance is a relative and flexible concept. There are weeks where, for business specific reasons, work will totally dominate the daily and weekly schedule (Holiday season for retail, etc.). I believe the overall key is to maintain open and honest communication with all personal and professional stakeholders (friends, family, and work partners and superiors). Being sensitive to feedback from these people will provide the most reliable indicators as to how well your balance is actually being realized.

Balance is necessary. Don't be afraid to communicate and re-negotiate timeframes (within business roadmaps and objectives). The key here is ensuring everyone remains informed. I have found that key business partners will be agreeable and understanding.

In order to ensure optimum stress levels, it could be recommended to write all tasks down. Sometimes the trainer or those in middle-management positions can become overwhelmed with the responsibility and feel the "pressure" to "juggle a never ending taskload" leading to burn out. A conversation or offering to support by delegating out workload can allow for a constructive conversation on personal bandwidth. This allows the individual to assess if they are having feelings of overwhelm and need to regain control, or if genuinely over-worked. Often the "check-in exercise" can restore some mental balance and reduce stress to feel their tasks are organised allowing genuine time to "switch off" and come back refreshed.
