Understanding concern means most of the time digging a bit deaper than accepting the first answer to an open question. Most of the time you get to the core of the objection after asking an open question three time in a row. Always end with asking involvement in solutions. Example: Why do you think the system is not going to work? It's to complicated. Can you tell a bit more about that. We had the same situation 5 years ago. A new system introduction failed because of the complexity we did not need but management decided was good for efficiency. How did this end. People got frustrated left or got burn-out. Production was decreasing. What can we do better this time around? Always end with getting involvement in solutions.

Communicating benefits hardly help unless it's about communicating the danger, risk, pain of doing nothing. And explaining the risk mitigation at the new technology intro.
