Additionally, PMs have a plethora of tools at their disposal to conquer whatever challenge the project may throw at them. While those are great indicators of 'What to do' when managing a cross-functional team, I'd like to consider the 'How' compared to the 'What'? As a Project Manager goes about setting goals, obtaining feedback, etc. the idea of buy-in is always on the mind. To ensure there is opportunity for buy-in, be sure to include team members and share ownership.
