If I can break it down into steps: - Make a survey/poll/questionnaire to review team feedback/needs. - Sit with management to understand more about projects/deals plan of expansion. - Meet designers and have more than one plan, and budget. - Settle on a plan. - Involve people in the journey. - Take feedback/comments/suggestions into consideration along the way. First of all ask your people for their preferences. Once you get it try to incorporate their ideas in your blueprints. At end of the day the more comfortable is work space is for them the better foundation for motivation will be. Try to get lot of natural light in office as much as you can. If possible to have proper amount of oxygen because that directly affect productivity. Get them tables with movable height, so they do not have to sit all the time, and can get stand on some occasions (meetings). Proper chairs for all team members, good and large flat curved monitors...with addition of good and quality headphones.
