There is so much to think about - you've got to be strategic, technical, analytical, creative and pragmatic. But, the best advise I can give is whenever something doesn't go as expected, use it as a learning opportunity. So this means finding out the WHY behind the stats, why did it go wrong, why did it not yield expected results etc.. Then pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get it!
