When asked about your experience with emerging technologies, honesty is the best policy. Reflect on your direct experiences, whether it's dabbling in a new programming language or participating in a project that utilized cutting-edge tools. If your experience is limited, acknowledge it but emphasize your eagerness to learn and your track record for picking up new skills quickly. Employers appreciate candor and a genuine interest in technology, which can often outweigh a lack of direct experience.

The question about emerging technologies is a question that is part of any interview process, and as such it is essential to take an approach based on real use experiences that you have had in your professional career. First of all, explaining what technology you used, why, in what specific use case, if it added value or not and if it had a real impact on your business, both at the level of standardization, culture, economic, people... It is Sincerity is fundamental, trying the technology has the risk of not impacting the business, but nevertheless it will be a lesson learned and will help you explain what learnings you had.

Be humble, honest & calm. It is ok not to be aware of all new technologies and the pace of industry its going makes it harder for everyone. Focus on what you know rather than what you don't.
Your enthusiasm for technology can be just as important as your experience. When discussing emerging technologies, let your passion shine through. Talk about the technologies that excite you and why you find them interesting. This can include personal projects or continuous learning efforts you've undertaken. Your enthusiasm will show employers that you're not just knowledgeable, but also motivated to keep learning and growing in the field.

From my experience, I do not have much problem when someone is not an expert at the technology, but it is critically important that I can feel the enthusiasm. In the end, unless you are motivated & enthusiastic about a certain technology, you will learn eventually. Showcase your passion if any. It is not always necessary to show enthusiasm for a particular technology, show your personality. That will speak more.
Concrete examples are key when discussing your experience. If you've worked with emerging technologies, describe specific projects or results achieved. Discuss challenges you faced and how you overcame them, showcasing your problem-solving skills. If your experience is theoretical, discuss what you've learned from courses, certifications, or self-study. Examples provide credibility and demonstrate your ability to apply knowledge in practical situations.

This is where everyone can grow. In the end, everything is storytelling. Right examples & case studies will help to set up the scene. While citing examples do not only focus on your wins or good projects, but also open about some loss, where things do not go well as planned.
The ability to adapt to new technologies is crucial. Highlight instances where you've had to learn and apply new technologies quickly. Discuss how you stay current with tech trends, such as following industry news or engaging with professional networks. This shows that you're proactive about your professional development and capable of keeping pace with technological advances.
