I think it's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day routine and not realize that your personal life is taking a toll. Sometimes I've had these situations where you keep going "Just a couple more hours, it's a one-off", but then, it keeps getting recurrent. You continue to do these "one-offs" without noticing you're letting your personal life slip. Once you realize that it's happening, stop and asses. Why am I doing this? Is it worth it? Is sacrificing personal life/time taking me somewhere, or am I just burning out? If you're there, then probably the answer is that it's not worth it. Take a step back, and plan on re-gaining your balance.

This is always a tricky point. When you start going up the corporate ladder, the boundary is not a well-defined line, and it turns more into a zone. Sometimes your duties, especially in management or directive roles, require you to be available or reply/troubleshoot outside the regular 9-5. In my experience, when I was burnt out, one of the points I noticed was that this "boundary area" had become very wide. Re-assess what's urgent, and postpone everything else outside office hours. If you take a closer look, almost every single thing can usually wait.

If you keep these things in your head, then you're not really off, even when you're away from the office.
You don't have to do everything alone. Delegating tasks to colleagues or employees can free up your schedule and reduce stress. If you're in a managerial position, trust your team to handle certain responsibilities. This not only helps balance your workload but also empowers others by giving them opportunities to grow and develop their skills within the travel and tourism industry.
Sometimes, talking to someone can make a world of difference. Reach out to a mentor, a trusted colleague, or a professional coach who understands the demands of the travel and tourism industry.
