Your workflow must be acceptable for the developer team to work with. You can't just create anything from your imagination and hand it over to the developers😂. Make sure to ask them if creating such a feature/effect would be feasible. If not, improve the design according to their recommendations. Also, your image export formats should be '.svg' (only if efficient), as they don't lose their quality. If using PNG or JPG, make sure to export them in 1.5x format (compressing them is also important to improve performance).
