Ohne jede Menge praktische Erfahrung geht gar nichts! Authentizität ist der Schlüssel zum Erfolg. Und diese erlangt man nur durch jahrelange Erfahrung und unzählige Verkaufsgespräche. Ansonsten wir man seiner Rolle nicht gerecht. Theorie können viele vermitteln. Die kleinen Geschichten des eigenen Erlebten machen einen Trainer wertvoll!

I guess actions speak louder than words. You must have walked the path, successfully and be of inspiration to other people with some ground. Only then you’ll qualify to be a great sales trainer 🤝

Do not even think of becoming a Sales Trainer if you haven’t sold anything. And I mean this seriously you need to have done that for a long time to train on it. Sales is like that!!! Get exposure of multiple sales methodologies and get certified on a couple. Here’s the thing just this is not enough, practice atleast one or two methodologies in your selling. See what works and what doesn’t, what needs to be tweaked or customised. Gain knowledge on training methodology and facilitation techniques. Read read read a lot of sales blogs, sales articles and books to gain knowledge. Remember to become A SAles Trainer you HAVE TO be a Sales Practitioner!!! That is really the key 🔑

In my experience as a Sales Trainer, It is very necessary for a trainer to have first hand experience of sales himself/herself, To help reps to be successful ,you yourself have to understand the exact challenges that might come along to close the deal.

D'après mon expérience , je rejoins ce que j'ai pu lire , à savoir qu'un formateur en vente qui n'a pas d'expérience " opérationnelle de la vente " ne peut prétendre à être crédible . Toutefois j'irais encore plus loin , cette expérience doit être grande et variée . La raison ? Nul ne peut former à la vente sans avoir compris la psychologie des clients ( même inconsciemment ) , le formateur pourra ensuite théoriser cette expérience et apporter à ses participants autre chose qu'un simple "savoir" . Les composantes "savoir faire " et "savoir être " ne s'acquièrent et ne se partagent qu'a cette condition

Sales is all about building up muscle memory, so once someone understands the basic sales frameworks we do two things to lock in that muscle memory: 1. Sales Role Play - regularly running through scenarios with colleagues or their sales coach in order to practice the techniques they have been taught in a safe environment. There’s nothing worse than sending someone into a sales meeting with basic knowledge and no practice. Is it any wonder they struggle?! 2. Sales Call Critique - record the sales calls and then have an experienced sales trainer run through those calls and provide second-by-second feedback on body language, pacing, tonality, objection handling, the pitch and the close. This is invaluable in sales.

Learning is in the Doing. Get the audience to be involved in role play, simulation and activities. Refrain from humiliating others who made mistakes. Create a safe environment for others to voice out, experiment and learn from each other.

Knowing the role itself is not enough. Many top performers cannot share exactly what is it they are doing. This is where a trainer comes in. They should understand how to model excellence, break down success formulas and then deliver content in a way that meets different learning styles. They also need to know how to properly measure and assess capabilities. Content design, training delivery, assessment methodologies, re-enforcement and coaching - the sakes trainer needs to know it all.

There are many Mooc courses these days that teach adult learning and it will be nice for anybody who wants to become a sales trainer to get certification in the field for them since adults learn differently from what they obtain in traditional schools. For adults ,you must make them want to learn in their own way and cannot be forced to do so else they tune-off and stop participating in the learning process.

Obtener una certificación es el tercer escalón para destacar como formador de ventas. Imagina esto como un sello de excelencia que valida tus habilidades y conocimientos. Aunque no es obligatoria, marca la diferencia al elevar tu credibilidad y reputación. La Certificación de Profesional de Ventas (CSP) de la Asociación Internacional de Ejecutivos de Ventas y Marketing (SMEI) es como el distintivo de maestría en ventas. Completing este programa no solo amplía tu conocimiento sino que también te conecta con una red global de profesionales. Alternativamente, el Certificado de Instructor de Ventas Profesional (CPST) de la Asociación para el Desarrollo del Talento (ATD) es otra opción sólida. If you are training a specific methodology, you'll likely find a certification for it - Sandler, MEDDIC, Challenger etc. Beware, however, that this might limit your opportunities. For the sales methodology agnostic among you, you might want to consider certications in coaching or training more generally, so that your delivery is consistent in the event you adapt to different content.

In my experience, I searched for proven sales curriculum that covered my chosen area of sales. This came in the form of courses like the Dale Carnegie sales courses, getting mentored by those already successful in my industry and general certification organizations such as the Certified Sales Professional (CSP) by the Sales and Marketing Executives International (SMEI), or the Certified Professional Sales Trainer (CPST) by the Association for Talent Development (ATD). Sometimes getting additional licenses in a chosen field are indirect ways to get certified, for example in residential real estate sales, a person who goes further and gets a brokers license in addition to their sales person license will be able to teach and train others.

In many fields of sales, especially where there is high income potential, your reputation is gold. We’re only as a good as our most recent sale dictates. Become a subject matter expert in niches, interact directly in trade associations for these niches, contribute to events and seminars held through out the year and become known by more and more people on a first name basis. Be seen as someone who shares openly rather than the miser who won’t share any knowledge with others. It may seem counter intuitive to share secrets to your success but doing it, will expose you to others who are networkers, team players, etc. in a highly competitive field, travel to other markets where you and others can share successful strategies openly.

Ademas, con un profundo conocimiento del perfil de Clientes y mercados a abordar. Hoy en dia existen muchos recursos para hacerlo, solo se necesita mucha curiosidad y preparacion.

La mejor reinvención es el aprendizaje continuo. Las estrategias de ventas se mejoran, reinventan, fluyen con el entorno y el mercado. Tener experiencia es fundamental, el entendimiento teórico y práctico del día a día de un vendedor es crucial para llevar un mensaje formador y transformador. Pero el mejoramiento continuo como formador de ventas te mantendrá en el top of mind de quienes buscan para si mismos actualizarse en el mismo campo.

Es vital mantenerse leyendo todos los reportes, estudios y noticias de las instituciones que más invierten y se mantienen actualizadas, te recomiendo newsletters, google alerts de sales articles en google scholar, y en LinkedIn seguir cuentas de expertos y lideres del area.

There's two parts. 1. You have to have lived and succeeded in the field. No shortcuts. 2. You need to be able to communicate to more junior salespeople in a way so that they see it as in their best interest to learn.

Para ser formador en ventas, haber vendido antes es bueno. También es verdad que no todos lo vendedores son buenos formadores o jefes de otros vendedores. Enseñar es una forma de ayudar. Si compartes tus experiencias y son útiles a quien enseñas, te validaran como persona a la que tener en cuenta. Cómo siempre la actitud es fundamental. Tienes que empatizar con tu alumnado. Saber que necesitarán y darles solución. Si hay buena actitud, podrás ayudar a mejorar sus habilidades, a que conozcan como actuar en cada situación y a que aprendan nuevas formas de vender. Tienes que saber que cada formación es diferente, aunque todas tengan algo en común y personalizar la formación lo más posible.
