Sounds of crickets from inside the grass and even the winds have effects when you are at higher places. Sounds can change your game theme as well. I once attended a workshop where the host used horror and funny sounds from his 2 different friends in each of the gameplay. Even though the gameplay was same it felt different because of the sounds used.
