To answer this question, the best rule of thumb is to be in tune with what students are using and learning. Student engagement will flourish if students are approaching content and curriculum from their worlds. It's always been that way. Being an innovative/creative teacher is working within the limitations to build bridges from students to content. Avoid putting down or dismissing the value of AI, Smartphones, apps, gaming, and the like. Embrace the digital world while maintaining a learning pace that's reasonable for you. Be positive about looking at your teaching approach in a new way.
Physical space influences creativity. Consider redesigning your classroom to be more conducive to innovative thinking. Flexible seating arrangements, areas for brainstorming, and access to diverse materials can all contribute to a more dynamic learning environment. When students feel comfortable in their surroundings, they're more likely to engage in creative activities and think more freely.
