Being reminded of my own progress either through journaling, working with my own coach, looking at photographs of past achievements, all feed into my own self-confidence. And it is hard to set big goals and go for them without a sense of confidence. If you want to go a step further, try writing down your progress milestones and achievements and keeping them in a place where you see them often.
