The word "Delay" in a project has different meaning for different people. Delay wrt to what? PERT, Critical Path, Contract date, assurance, future marketing etc. PERT, Critical path etc is a sequence of operation. The time assigned and probability of success of each path is not known. Hence acknowledge the delay wrt existing PERT. Correct it at certain time interval with the customer.
When a project seems overwhelming, breaking it down into smaller, manageable tasks can make it seem more approachable. In plant engineering, complex projects can often be divided into phases such as design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Focus on completing one phase at a time or even further divide these phases into smaller tasks. By achieving these smaller milestones, you'll build momentum and a sense of accomplishment that can propel you forward.

Breakdown is a basis of PERT. This should be followed for different Levels called L1, L2, L3 etc. Most complex Engineering jobs gets accomplished at Max L3 level PERT.

Every body in project tells you time management. It is most important free resource. Use it to the extent possible. Beyond that resources and priority helps to steer the project. The word priority comes from management demand to showcase the outcome. It gives you relief and not solution.
Self-imposed deadlines can be a powerful motivator. While your project has an ultimate deadline, setting smaller deadlines for individual tasks can create a sense of urgency that combats procrastination. Be realistic with the timeframes you set and consider sharing these deadlines with colleagues or supervisors to create a sense of accountability. The pressure of meeting these mini-deadlines can help keep you on track.

Create Dead Line is not great enough. Ensure Dead Lines are. But commit yourself to a date and put in your best. Judge your out come. correct Your self.

Seek support is a free advise. No body stops You. Expect some basic guidance. It may or may not solve your problem. What you require is paid consultant to over view the activities going on and one good advice.
Finally, examine your work habits and environment. Are they conducive to productivity, or are they contributing to your procrastination? Make adjustments such as organizing your workspace, limiting distractions, and scheduling work during times when you're most alert and focused. Developing a routine that includes regular breaks can also help maintain your energy levels and keep procrastination at bay.
