I found one of the best ways to share what I have learned, especially when reading a book on sales or psychology, is to buy my team a copy to read as well (or an audiobook if they prefer). I generally did this several times a year and then hosted a learning discussion to see what else they learned from the book. On two occasions the authors of the books we selected offered to participate in the discussion personally, simply because I contacted them through LinkedIn. It was an amazing experience which provided my team the opportunity to ask questions or practice techniques with the author. I truly believe that the "Proof is in the pudding". And that proof HAS to come out as a result of helping our sales training clients achieve better outcomes, also know as "Better results" each month. A lot of clients will report back on their successes after the training, by ways of inbox messages, emails or recommendations on LinkedIn after training. It's absolutely crucial that this feedback is shared with the team, because then they can absolutely see how much their role is absolutely changing clients lives for the better. This super charges their effort, gives great social proof of the value they are bringing and changing clients lives for the better - a real of purpose for the work they do comes from that. Awesome stuff!
