There I learned basic Mechanical practices, to calculate component weight , stock material, theoretical calculations of various operation sequence involved till getting finish component. QC, QA activities, packaging etc. My next part of Carrier was learning Sales and Marketing activities of CNC machines. This start was with a very broad experience where I had covered Maharashtra, MP, East and North part of India..... After this my interaction with Government Organization was started, Complete Tendering Process. That was a complete different experience than Local Business. Now I am Handling Deep Hole Drilling, a Niche Technology Product with Precihole Machine Tools Pvt Ltd.

Be valuable. Whether in the real world or on LinkedIn, always have something of value to offer others. The number of connections is not important at all, but the quality of your connections is what matters. Have a purpose for your connections, but be aware that the healthiest and most professional goals are those that consider both personal and social interests. Professionals do not have a tool-based view of others and are looking to create value in their relationships with others.

Don’t be afraid to engage! A lot of people are on LinkedIn but just observe. You can definitely learn and grow through observation here, but you will learn and grow infinitely more if you engage. It can be scary to post your own content (although I certainly encourage that as well), but commenting on other people’s posts is a fantastic way to engage, start a conversation, and form relationships on LinkedIn. I firmly believe that the comments are where the magic happens.

Content is King Queen and Ace when it comes to LinkedIn. So the way to use content to build your network is by providing/ writing content that your network wants and needs to hear And here’s the key thing Don’t worry about who engages with you or sees who youre engaging with Too many people are scared to engage because they don’t want to be caught out or seen. Or if they have a different opinion they don’t want to be seen as disagreeing Everyone’s opinion counts so share yours And don’t worry about how many people engage with yours. When peeps get little engagement on their posts they stop posting. Don’t. Instead stay co sister because even if they’re not engaging - they’re watching and reading

people often worry about what to write, what content to post when really it's all about engaging with content. Even if you add a link to an external article, provide your opinion on it, ask for feedback or views from others that may have a voice on the piece. You don't always have to be the clever one to come up with snappy and witty content. You can always use other people's content and engage with that until you get inspired to create noteworthy content yourself. This is what I do when I can't think of anything to share.

To me, it is not content that is the fuel of LinkedIn, but rather conversation. Content is part of that because it can start a conversation. The most powerful activity is actually commenting on posts because joining a conversation is easier than starting one (by posting yourself). If you are uncertain about what to post, think of the top questions you are asked about your area of expertise. Also, a great way to start can be contributing to articles like this.

Ah... LinkedIn Groups. The idea is great but the implementation is unfortunately rarely what it could be. Most groups are echo chambers where people post but never engage. If you do find one of the rare groups where conversations are going on, jump in! When they are good, they are really good.

Linkedin groups will def be useful once LinkedIn do something about them No matter how much abuse you throw at Facebook - there is beauty in creating groups when you have any to build a loyal community So take some advice from Facebook and make LinkedIn groups work better - because with a network as amazing as the one on Linkedin. Groups will create magic Until then - groups don’t do that we need them to do to build a community

There's so much more than can be done with Linkedin grups. So many ideas and not so great at implementation. Can you imagine if we could get this right? The amojnt of value from like-minded people on topics that benefit us all. You will be in a community of people that believe in the same things. You can bounce ideas of each other, support each other and learn best practice. I have tried to engage on many occasions, but as @beth granger mentioned below.... most groups are like echo chambers

LinkedIn Learning is a great tool that many people don't take advantage of. If you are curious about new area or topics (AI for instance), or need to know how to do a specific thing (freeze column headings in Excel)... there is a course for that. PS. If you don't have premium and can't invest in that right now, I recommend checking your local library. Many, at least where I live, have access through the library website.

I have Linkedin Learning and was blown away by how many great courses were on there. It certainly is the sophisticated version and a sep up from learning 'How to do something.' on YouTube. Plus you get recognition and awards for learning something new which will appeal to those who are extrinsically motivated. Definitely worth looking into. It's on premium so there is a cost investment to it but try it out and more importantly , put in action what you have learnt.

If you're willing to share your expertise with people on this platform and make it edutaining, don't get discouraged by the lack of likes. More people are seeing it than you know. I've received client emails referencing something I said on LinkedIn 3 weeks prior, despite them not liking a post.

Don't forget to use your Inbox (Messaging area) to continue to have conversations and engage with your connections after the "connecting process" is over. One of my favorites to send and receive is a simple "Happy Birthday, did you do anything special on your day?" message. It let's the other person know you are paying attention and haven't forgotten who they are. Your chances of a reply are much greater when you ask an open-ended question like that. After all, how many people have you connected with and years later wonder "Who is this guy/gal?"

There are so many more tips I could add here because it is my area of expertise, but to try to keep it short... a few thoughts: If you are wondering should you say something or do a certain thing on LinkedIn, imagine you were in a room with a bunch of people, would you say that thing or behave that way? Combine Linkedin with in-person or virtual networking and support your referral partners by making introductions and/or sharing information they would find useful.
