Project Managers increase their odds of a successful project by identifying projects risks early & mitigating them to the extent possible. It is good practice to do this periodically thru-out the project. The object of the exercise is not to eliminate risk, but rather, to have a plan for it. Try your best to accomplish: -ID'ing risk -Ideation of possible risk mitigations -Adding mitigations to project plan -Regularly reviewing project risk profile The biggest risks are the ones that end the project immediately & prematurely. These typically have to do with health & safety. Those types of mitigations are part of any project plan, and the one we must be most vigilant about. After all, lives are at stake. #RiskIdentification ☺️

Effective project risk management involves systematic identification, analysis, prioritization, and response planning. Risks are identified through various methods including brainstorming and expert judgment. They are then analyzed for probability and impact, prioritized based on severity, and appropriate responses planned: avoidance, mitigation, transfer, acceptance, or exploitation. Regular monitoring ensures timely response to evolving risks, while clear communication keeps stakeholders informed. After the project, a review identifies lessons learned for future improvements. This structured approach mitigates threats, maximizes opportunities and enhances project success rates.

There are 2 stages of risk analysis, before n after project starts. We need to identify all possible risks that are known time date. Try to fix them asap. Next is risk on the go- while project is ongoing. Be it any type of risk, need to know its impact on project n organisation, how soon it hits hard n how hard it can hit needs to be gauged. Then, put a timeline to fix them or mitigate them or accept them. Work with right people to work on them. Risk can be positive or negative - negative affects the project. There r costs attached to finding new fixing the risks. Minimize as much as possible

Risk management is something that is always rectified at the beginning of the project execution by going through a small POC where one needs to lay down the important points in the starting of phase consisting of the breakages coming ahead in the projects and this way we can control the risks at the end of the project delivery.
After identifying risks, you need to analyze them to understand their potential impact and likelihood. This can be done qualitatively by categorizing risks as high, medium, or low based on your team's experience and judgment, or quantitatively by using numerical values. The goal is to prioritize risks so you can focus your attention and resources on the most critical ones. Remember, the more accurately you can assess each risk, the better prepared you'll be to handle it.

First, we should assess the risks by gauging their likelihood and impact on the project. Start qualitatively, using a probability and impact matrix to prioritize them based on severity. Then, for a deeper dive, employ quantitative techniques like Monte Carlo simulations, decision tree analysis, and sensitivity analysis. By calculating the expected monetary value (EMV) of each risk—multiplying its probability by its impact—we'll be able to rank them and concentrate on those that could significantly affect project outcomes.
