I have a passion to teach and have always had students, interns, residents and/or fellows with me. After being away from the classroom, I became an Adjunct Professor. I checked with colleagues to learn the nature of the students, teaching equipment available to me. In reality, I just stepped into the classroom and did what I ad done so many times before with those students, interns, residents and fellows.

I don't have an experience with lay offs but since I have been working from past two years, I have switched work places to thrive and to reach where I want to. And there had been times when I couldn't found the work I planned on doing. I had months where I only took interviews or sat at home. But again this is the time where we can reflect back on our career goals, we can enhance our skills, these days there are plenty of online courses to do, one can sign up for that, reading helps too. It's tough to live without working once you are used to it, but it is what it is. Even when you hit the rock bottom pull yourself up, go and take interviews. Stay positive, remember u still have that experience nd skill that nobody can take away.
