Na minha experiência, um card vermelho no Trello tem menos efeito que um postit vermelho na parede para representar uma interrupção. O postit está na parede o tempo todo, ao passo que o Trello será visto apenas eventualmente. Também fica muito claro o excesso de atividades em execução, o descompasso entre atividades muito grandes e muito pequenas e outras distorções percebidas no dia a dia quando está na parede. Sem falar, é claro, que dá pra você usar os postits para descontrair também, desenhando nos cards mais sinistros ou colocando smiles para comemorar.

É muito fácil dispersar o objetivo inicial atrás de coisas legais a serem experimentadas e testadas - e algumas vezes isso é muito empolgante! Se você tem prazos apertados atenha-se ao objetivo maior do projeto - preferencialmente descrito em objetivo de negócio, não técnico. Escreva-o, coloque-o na parede, repita-o como um mantra em toda reunião diária com a equipe. Além do objetivo, foque na entrega. Uma funcionalidade para testar é muito melhor que uma dúzia de funcionalidades em desenvolvimento.
