We need to bring new things to the team! I usually bring new things, with some frequency, to stimulate creativity. These news are not necessarily related to work activities. ex.: - team building at a gastronomy school; - internal hackathon; - technical visit to an inspiring establishment; - thematic experience. At the end of these activities, stimulate creativity to think about the future of the area or a specific topic.
In today's digital-first world, a UX team manager must have a solid grasp of technology. Understanding the constraints and possibilities of different platforms helps you guide your team towards feasible and impactful design solutions. Stay abreast of the latest tech trends and encourage your team to do the same. This knowledge ensures that the user experiences you craft are not only beautiful but also technically sound.

How to stay aware and on top of emerging technologies? We usually do 3 types of actions: 1. Share and discuss technology reports or other material; 2. take courses together; 3. have thematic challenges based on a theme and/or technology. The last challenge we did was AI. We brought two scenarios for using AI for projects. We also built a matrix with the tools that are more or less suitable for our research and UX context.
Effective project management is key to delivering high-quality user experiences on time and within budget. As a UX team manager, mastering the art of project planning, resource allocation, and deadline management is essential. Use tools and methodologies that keep your team on track without stifling their creativity. By balancing the logistical with the creative, you'll ensure smooth project execution from start to finish.

Considering a project manager for projects is extremely important. AS LONG AS they don't bureaucratize the process. I've seen many project managers waste a lot of time putting together their reports to the detriment of taking care of the team's efficiency. It's not just about giving status of activities. For me, it's about driving efficiency.
A UX team manager must also be a visionary strategist, looking beyond individual projects to see the bigger picture. You should understand how user experience fits into the overall business strategy and be able to align your team's work with company objectives. By thinking strategically, you can advocate for the user while also contributing to the organization's success, making your role as a UX team manager truly impactful.
