That's my view. However, what you can do, is take stock and look at your working and home life and see what is triggering any bad stress. Then, and only then, would I plan to see how your boss and your company can help and support you the best they can.

I don’t believe in work-life balance. I believe that the term was coined to apply more pressure to those that live in a world where one member of the family stays home and one member works. Statistics show 85% of the workforce is middle class with 2 incomes. Work needs to be work. Do what you can and then when you go home. Be at home. If something comes up- step away. Take care of it and then come back to being whatever it is that you need to be at home. Balance isn’t achievable because in most professions you are bound to commitments 24/7.
