I can only agree. 🤝 Trust is really important not only between stakeholders, but also in the development team itself. I can witness that in the moment when someone is giving empty promises, motivation of the others goes down, client is frustrated. It is great to have team you can count on. 🕸️ Regarding networking, not only official conferences area great spot for it. Also local meetups, circles and talks are beneficial. The added value of those is the community feeling, since on these group of people is not that large and it is easier to build a relationship.

What i would like to add here is that "Be active during the event" irrespective of it being offline or online. Why i am saying so because many a times i have seen in my career people being active before entering a forum, meeting and when they are there inside they are like absolute quiet. I wish to highlight here that be active, ask meaningful questions, contribute to answers if you know, go and interact, dont just be a passenger, be the driver or at least navigator. Make your presence felt during the event, dont just attend the event, participate in the event.

Networking shall be based on value creation for all the participants. If you are willing to share your expertise and experience with others to ease pain points of the network members you will build trust and confidence among the network members. Another equally important aspect will be to listen and respect others prospective without getting offended.

What i will add to this article which has not been spoken is that reconnect with former colleagues, classmates, and alumni from your educational institutions. Alumni networks often provide platforms for professional networking, career advice, and mentorship opportunities. Not only you try to leverage it for your benefit but offer to help people who need your guidance. I have seen my alumni networks coming to rescue like a family in hours of professional/personal crisis of many of my close friends of college.
