World Bank Report - Self-Regulation in Securities Markets

In January, 2011, the World Bank published a report titled “Self-Regulation in Securities Markets”. This report was designed to support the sharing of knowledge in the area of securities markets.

The main objective of this report is to make use of experience from leading and important emerging markets to develop their regulatory frameworks in advising the World Bank’s client countries on employing self-regulation in capital markets.

IOSCO SRO Consultative Committee, currently chaired by Yoshio Okubo, the Vice-Chairman & Senior Managing Director of the JSDA, had provided comments on the draft version of the report.
