  • Both a bit melancholic yet adventurous

This really is the type of series that I yearn for from anime. It is not derivative, not shallow in the slightest, and it really drives an existential undertone throughout each episode. Though it doesn't rely on heavy handed metaphor, like some popular anime, it does rely on fans to see Frieren's experience through a lens of both empathy and introspection. It really would be very difficult to life such a long, impactful, and lucky life but at what cost? To leave everyone behind because you are blessed with life longevity is a painful thing, and this story explores that flawlessly. But whimsically at times. I love it.

  • Absolute banger of a series

This series really deviates from the current norm of a lot of anime series. It really doesn't follow any set guidelines that a lot of its other predecessors follow. I literally have no clue what will happen next, or where the series is going. And I am typically, yet annoyingly, accurate in my predictions at how stories will end. This one is kind of a hit.
