Literally did not know what we were seeing
Literally we did not know what we were seeing. AMC screen unseen (only information you get is the rating and how long the movie is).
We were pleasantly surprised. Yes there were some missed opportunities but a good concept and some good elements. Loved Molly Gordon and John Reynolds was hilarious. I'm older (late 50s) but I enjoyed it but I do think this might work for the younger crowd more.
There were many moments that I thought it was going to turn into a horror film but never did but that's fine as I felt the characters were interesting and enjoyable to watch and it was fresh to have the what should've been expected not happen.
Not disappointed.

Oh,hi! I think I've just died of boredom
It started off quite well actually first 20-30 minutes were good and funny but the rest of the movie was just not funny, not romantic, not for me at least.. the characters weren't interesting, I didn't like most of the conversations. I just kept watching because it wasn't a long movie.. I don't know maybe I am too old for this kind of stuff.. 5 for the beautiful kitchen, strawberries and the lake..
Oh, meh
Meh. Just meh. Had some interesting developments and was refreshingly realistic for a rom-com, but it didn't know whether to be a rom-com or thriller and ended up being neither and just an overall mess, although it was interesting enough of one to keep you somewhat engaged.
At least the ending wasn't so predictable.

🎬 Plushie Crew Reviews: Oh, Hi! (2025) - Love, Lies & Locked Doors 🖤
Sunday Movie Time took a chaotic detour this week when Amy 🌸 picked Oh, Hi! - a dark romantic comedy that starts as a quirky love story and spirals into a twisted emotional standoff you just can't look away from. Directed by Sophie Brooks and starring Molly Gordon and Logan Lerman, this film proves that love can be both magnetic and mildly terrifying 😅
The first act plays it safe - cute chemistry, funny banter, and that warm indie glow that makes you think it's heading for a 500 Days of Summer vibe. But halfway through, things go from "aww" to "oh no." Willow 🐲 described it as "a rom-com that lost its moral compass halfway," while Tails 🦊 said it felt like "watching an argument that somehow turned into performance art."
Molly Gordon's performance anchors the chaos - unhinged yet heartbreakingly sincere - while Logan Lerman gives off just the right amount of trapped confusion to keep you guessing who's really in control. Winny 🐻 called it "emotionally messy but kinda brilliant," while Mimikyu 👻 said it was like "love language turned into a hostage situation."
Visually, Oh, Hi! Nails the aesthetic - soft lighting, dreamy pastels, and that cozy-but-claustrophobic indie feel. Kuromi 😈 loved how the cinematography mirrored the tension: "cute setting, terrifying emotions." Amy 🌸 defended her pick by saying, "it's not supposed to make sense - it's supposed to make you feel." Sunny 🌞 and Sweet 🍓 agreed the awkward humor worked best when it leaned into its discomfort, not away from it.
By the finale, the movie throws subtlety out the window - but at least it goes out swinging. It's chaotic, funny, disturbing, and oddly touching, sometimes all within the same scene.
Despite its uneven tone and questionable pacing, Oh, Hi! Earns points for taking risks and keeping the Crew talking long after the credits rolled. It's not everyone's cup of tea - but it is the kind of film that leaves you staring at the screen, wondering what love even is.
Final Verdict: 6/10 🎭 A claustrophobic love story that's messy, bold, and weirdly unforgettable - just don't watch it on a first date 💔

I'm making this as a direct response to the only other written review
This film was very enjoyable. Molly murdered the role and so did Logan. Sophie Brooks did a fantastic job. I saw this in a sold out theater and the audience was engaged and laughing throughout the entire film. I have seen almost every movie to release this year and I put it up there with the best of them. It was fun and thrilling and not overly done in any way. It was realistic but also pushed the norm. In my opinion if you didn't enjoy this film then you either have a personal vendetta against someone that worked on the film or you just hate having a good time. Whichever one it is I hope you get the help you need.
